I agree that people who have a will, find a way.
Regardless of that, these people didn't, find a way, or a will.
They are people, women, men, and children, we should have helped.
Politics of everything could have been discussed later. Those people needed help. Regardless of everything else, more people should have given a shit.
When I first saw those pictures on the news, I didn't care if they had money, or what they had. I just saw people dying, it left me feeling helpless, it left me wondering where that fuck I lived, because in America, we don't let others just die. We help. I can't believe that only a few people felt shame for our system and the way things were handled.

This is not about fleeing from hurricanes.
This is about the corruption concerning the levees and how uninformed the people of NOLA were.
If they were told the levees would fail and be flooded, they would have left.
The NO Levee Board is on trial now for their manslaughter crimes.
This is another form of genocide to cover up mass corruption.

BTW, I have survived two direct hits from strong hurricanes.
It's the tornadoes and flood waters that are the main threat.

I agree it was shameful that Nagin and Blanco didn't mandate an evacuation and then shuffled them into the Superdome. Those stories were horroifying in themselves at the Superdome. I did donate personal items and money. But, with everything that has come out why do people still live there? IT'S NOT SAFE.

Really, I have no idea why people still live there.... perhaps they don't have the means to move. Personally, I think they should have been relocated and the levy's let loose to turn the area back to it's natural habitat. People can't control Mother Nature - no matter how tall the walls are.

I agree, I think the citizen of NOLA should have been relocated and let NOLA return to a natural habitat. I know, alot of people say "I've live there all my life, it's all I know." We move to a different state every 2 years, if I can acclimate and assimiliate to a new area, anyone can.
