I am only 17 but I think making the best effort to put in office those who uphold the constitution and have no glaring conflicts of interests. Also making public meetings like the one Frist had so when he runs for office we know where he stands.

Problem with that is, when President's are placed in office, they come with their "cabinet" so to speak, which boils down to friends and family, giving them jobs with lots of pay at the taxpayers expense. So in order to change that, "no baggage" claim, maybe we should be passing laws against hiring your family and friends.
