Daniel,
I certainly won't disagree with the fact that the government spends ernormous amounts of money inappropriately, we have all heard the story of the $300 toilet seat, however, my question to you is this, what are you going to do about it? We know it exists, so what can we do to change the way things are being done? What do you propose that we do as people to fix this problem. You think it only goes with the Republican party, wrong, this problem crosses all party lines so don't give me the, elect a democratic nominee for an answer, it will not suffice on this subject.

Oh, forgot to ask, so now I'm being watched by the government for my participation in a message board complaining about them? Just curious. I tend to have luck like that

Yes the evil Bush administration is watching you 24/7/365. They don't have anything else to do but watch you, me, and everyone else.
Never mind that they don't have the capability.

They don't need to watch everyone all the time. If Google can take a snapshot of the entire web every week and search the content accurately, I'm pretty sure the government can. Not to mention that they had speech recognition abilities twenty years before anyone else. (Shhhh, Echelon) lol.
They don't watch everyone, but they do look/listen for key words and phrases and then look at the context of those and the people that wrote/said them.

Just knew my big mouth would get me in trouble someday. Oh well, maybe they'll actually read what we are saying.

They probably are on a terrorist watch but also on a watch for political enemies which is illegal.(think plume leak) But back to my original thread Mel Martinez a Flordia republican who secured the room for Frist said he was disgusted. It was a corporate event.
I think corruption can occur in all parties and all levels of government but I think this administration has become little more than an arm for big business cronies of Bush and friends. I think this administration is unpresedented in lies, corruption, and half truths. More will come out later...watch you will see

Then refute it with logic and examples. So far I see nothing in your words.
Choose one topic and let's discuss it in depth and with historical perspective.

I think he chose one topic: a meeting presided over by Frist in which no bid contracts were given to The Shaw Group and others. I did some research and a meeting was held September 26, 2005. I would like to see minutes. I think a crporate meeting was held in the senate building which has never happened but I would like to find more. Laru what have you found out about this meeting..your words give no examples or depth.

Daniel,
Back to my original question, what can we do about it? We know this type of thing happens all the time, however, what can we do to change it?
