There must be a problem with the server. The list of exceptional and positive things that the Katrina evacuees are doing for Texas you were trying to post did not come through.

Scooby, don't side step. I was not addressing what evacuees are or are not, what they did or did not. I was simply saying that you are not smart enough to keep your scummy thoughts to your self. IN that post you have demoted yourself to bottom rung. Oh, I should have said dung.

Should this ever happen again, those people (term used loosely here) will find the Texas Army National Guard manning a roadblock at the stateline. Hopefully with shoot to kill orders.

You are a moron. I worked with a couple of evacuees at my job. They were good hard working people. One of them even worked in a misson here during his time off of work. I live in Texas and I have no problem extending a little southern hospitality (something you know nothing about) to my neighbor and countrymen/women.
Why don't you list a positive thing you have done for Texas

Well, I'm sorry. All of my southern hospitality has already used by the other invading dregs that have been swarming across from Mexico for years.

As far as what I have done for Texas? Well I contribute to the local economy through my business and my employees. I donate regularly to the NAACP and will probably be a member of that organization soon (thank God our chapter is a maverick and pretty conservative). I donate to another organization and take part in all of their benefits and fund raisers. It is a women's club called The LeCortie Society. It was put together to provide scholarships for young blacks who did well in school but it has done so well that now it's scholarships are open to everyone.

That is what I have done for Texas.

I'm not sure I should even dignify your comments with a reply, but here goes.

While many of the Katrina evacuees are criminals (Houston crime rate is up with refugees accounting for either being the criminal or victim in 30% of Houston's homicide),

Most are law abiding folks.

Most have found work and are contributing to the city economy.

As a specific example of one couple to whom you referred as pond scum, the parents of a sister-in-law of mine moved out of Slidell (east of NO by the lake), bought property, transferred their bank accounts, pay taxes, and spend a lot more time with their grandkids than they did before.

AS far as the Texas National Guard at the border, you should read up on the right of US citizens to travel freely between states. I have no clue how you think that crossing a state border constitutes a capital crime for which people can be summarily killed without due process.

I would suggest that you spend some time reading the Constitution and maybe a religious tome or two.

Well, the Koran is a religious tome. We see how fabulously well that has worked out for the world, don't we? The prophet Muhammed (pigs be upon him) should be a great inspiration to us all.

I salute what yoou have done then, and I agree with your sentiment about our Mexican "friends" butwe should still help and lift up our fellow Americans.
