ever heard of FDR's cover-up?
you all do know that grand rapids, michigan took at least one bomb hit if not more from japan, right?

Huh, I knew about one hitting in Oregon, notable as the only people killed on American soil as a result of WWII enemy action. Or at least the only ones killed by the balloon bombs, don't remember.
Anyway, I live about 30 miles from GR and never knew this.
I found a decent site about the attacks though...

i just read it in a back issue of one of my magazines. lemmie quote; world war II july 1998 " the most chilling specter raised by Pingfan was the balloon bomb. hundreds of those devices ....................in only 50 to 60 hours. ....................Butte Montana,and Grand Rapids Michigan. the story was about unit 731, but they went on about trumans and fdr's cover-up to the masses so they could exploit their own agenda's with biological warfare at Camp Detrick, Md.

Right, the only thing really covered up was the precise location of where the bombs fell. There were many news reports of the attacks themselves though. |
