1) I never said "I hate Hitler." I was born more than 40 years AFTER his tyranical reign, and was never directly effected by a day to day exposure to his "ideals."

Most of the acquisition of "greatness" took place during the 200 years of ethnic assimilation --the "melting pot" years. The pot stopped melting when segments of the African-American population decided to set themselves apart, politically and socially, from what was heretofore "mainstream" America. They declared that they would no longer assimilate American values, and would build and maintain their own culture. That attitude, if not originally directly espoused by whackjob liberals, was embraced, coddled and held up as the new bastion of what America REALLY was spozetabe -- a "multicultural" society. To them, "melting pot" meant dozens of intact and separately maintained cultures, each with its own values and language, existing simultaneously in some utopian arena of love, respect and mutual cooperation.

With the sterling example of a separate Black America held up as a beacon of virtue, the 50 million Mexicans who invaded America came to the very useful (for them) conclusion that America also owed THEM a living, jobs, welfare, opportunity, equal everything and bilingual instruction in public schools for Mexican kids.

Everything went in the crapper when the government stopped enforcing the law -- be it border enforcement, citizenship requirement for employment, what have you.

It is still an absolute mystery to me how it came to be decided that Mexican children had a constitutional right to be taught in Spanish in American public schools. That continues to utterly astound me.
