I probably live in one of the poorest counties in Tennessee...if you have a health care problem you go to the nearest hospital and get treated and then the cost is picked up by medi-cade (especially for a child)..sounds like either neglect or an accident. The same people that howl about the V.A. incident...want to embrace national health care...which is the national health model.

Beats me.. It won't be much longer and I'll be on a different insurance program that will accept my daughter and you better believe we'll be dropping her medicaid like a rock. Yes it's been necessary for a time and I know many families can't help but use it. But I don't know anyone on the program who wouldn't choose better for their child if possible.

Oh, the system needs overhauled for sure. And there is no final answer but it's a matter of some is better than none.

Kix, a parent that isn't under the influence of drugs or other substances usually cares about their children, just you do yours.

No doubt!...but check some of the horror stories of the English, Russian or Canadian health care systems...

Hmmm...the more I think about this story....what`s a dentist really got to do with his death?...seems like a visit to the emergency room to treat infection with anti-biotics would have done the trick...then a appointment with a dentist to pull the teeth in the future.

Was it access here too?

Or is it that this was some "poor" person?

My sympathies to your girlfriend's family. All the money in the world can't trump biology/science sometimes.
