OK, let me try to be more specific. There were many scenerios that were given (in these classes) and one of the big ones was the Terri Schaivo case. More than half of the people in the class (all much younger, in thier 20s) had very 'this is the way it is' based on religious belief/views regardless of the situation or complications of the patient and family. These are not easy decisions to make and I understand why my GF literally makes a third more money than I do. I hear about absolute nightmare scenerios that these people in healthcare administration have to deal with and the problems come at you from all angles; experience helps a lot along with being very humane.
