Default Citizens want healthcare

http://www.citizenshealthcare.gov/ A recent poll showed that 41% of Americans polled want the goverment to pay for most major healthcare for them. I bet you can guess how the goverment will pay for this. Just raise taxs.

I wonder why they won't introduce, or re-introduce, market forces into the mix?

Good question, in fact I was wondering the same thing.

When and why did it become governments responsibility to provide us with health care? What next? I was going to say housing or food but we already expect the government to provide those things, not just give us the opportunity to earn enough to buy them but to give them to us.

If you are in favor of National Healthcare, I have only this to say;

I have very good insurance and very good health care provided by that insurance. I pay part of the insurance cost, my employer pays part of it also. I work hard for my employer, and I work hard for my money. My employer appreciates this and provides a portion of the insurance cost as a "benefit".

I do not like you. I probably do not like your family. I don't want a single penny of MY money going towards seeing that you ever take another breath. Get a job and get your own fucking health insurance, you worthless sacks of shit.

scoody, I was with you 100 percent until your last paragraph. Yes I think anyone who thinks the government should provide them with anything (which means I must provide them with anything since the government has no money of its own, it must steal mine) is worthless scum but profanity never ever wins an argument

I grew up on Bluecross/BlueShield as a child. We now have Triwest Prime medical insurance through the military.....for me, the cons outweigh the pros. I would not want socialized medicine.

That's why true democracy doesn't work, 41% of our country doesn't realize nothing is for free and they'll end up paying for it anyways.
