I hope a post in a thread by YellowDog helps explain it or my fear of it, its a quote by Alexander tyler:

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policies followed by a dictatorship."

Wouldn't have happened if these people wouldn't have priced themself out of a job. Heck, some are/were getting paid 20 plus dollars an hour to sit around and play cross-words all day because they couldn't get fired thanks to UAW. This one belongs to greedy unions.

Employees in the public sector are lazy as well take Cal Trans for instance they get paid $20 + an hour to stand around the freeway

There is no good reason to have a government based health care. The increasing problem with this country is that people do not want to be responsibe for themselves.

Ok, now that National Health Care is a given and MUST be supplied by our employers what about National Transportation. We all need automobiles to get back and forth to work so why can't we demand our employers
(1) Buy us all automobiles, after all its in their best interest to get us to work
(2) Keep our tanks full of gasoline, what good is a car without fuel?
(3) Provide us with full coverage auto insurance

If companies can be forced into providing health insurance why is the above inreasonable?

The point is that there are lots of companys that can't provide affordable healthcare plans for their employees. That is why either provide for yourself or more likely you depend upon my tax dollars to pay for it. I am not in favor of that.
