I wrote about this on another forum that I am registered with. This man interviewed another man who knows all about chickens living on bird farms. I might as well tell you folks here so you will get a good education about this. I do tons of searches, when this insane story came out I had to search. No need to worry people! Becaue the insane hysteria about more avian flu keeps rising and because more and more people keep jumping on the band wagon. I thought I;d list the factors that are really involved here. Firs of all, when birds anywhere in the world suddenly die these days there is a tendency to holler BIRD FLU. This has nothing to do with science. It's just a piling on. How are these animals tested? No one knows. There are a number of germs that could be found in animals and some of these could be called bird flu or avian flu same thing. But the strain of germ that has everyone worried H5N1. Did they test for H5N1? If so, what test did they do? If it was an Antibody Test for H5N1 and if the test was positve what does that mean? It means that their body of the animal put out some antibodies ( immune defense) to the fight off the H5N1. Traditionally this indicates that the body was successful in warding off the germ, it certainly does not mean the animals died from H5N1. So the antibody test is useless. If researchers actually tried to find and directl isolate H5N1 in the body of the animals, Did they find it as opposed to some other flu bug? Did they actually find it? Yet merely finding H5N1 is not enough. You now have to ask HOW MUCH H5N1 was found in the body of animal a b c??? HOW MUCH? Because it takes a whole lot (MILLIONS AND MILLIONS) of any germs to even begin to think that that germ was involved in causing illness in a body. And beyond that, you have to ask, If the animals Had Tons of H5N1 in his body was the animal(s) suffering from some prior illness> Was the animals immune system already weakened? Now what would weaken an animals immune system? Living in an animals farm where all the animals are raised in filthy conditions, poop is everywhere, they cant roam around they get no sunshine on them and they are heavily dosed with antibotics on a daily basis. Do you see what we are talking about? If you search public records on the internet for the history of animal epidemics in various countries you will find a very interesting thing. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME, They happen because of the conditions I'e just desribed. Raising animals in conventional facilites is another INVITATION to epidemics, they sweep through periodically. Various germs are blamed. But it's not the germs it is the conditions. If you eliminate the effects of 10, 20, 100 germs the epidemics would still happen. Because the immune systems of the animals are already weak. One germ or another is going to flourish in those situations. What about wild animals? Again you have to test very carefully. And you have to examine environmental conditions , for example are these animals living near industrial smokestacks, chemical spraying in the area is their water polluted??? But almost nobody cares about all these vital factors in testing. The press certainly doesnt apply any level of credible scrutiny. The press just echoes announcements make by the officials. As for so-called human ccases of bird flu the same standard should apply. But no evidence that this is so. So we are told that about 60 people have died from bird flu yet even in these cases we have no evidence that is correct and thorough testing has been done . I agree with you. Most of the current problems with food borne diseases are created by human conditions. Forty years ago when animals were free to graze and eat their natural diet these problems were few and far between. For example when they began feeding cows who are plant grazers gound bone meal we ended up with madcow. When we put 10,000 in a small enclosed area and they stomp in their own feces and we grind it up and eat it we end up with strains of E.coli food poisening that are lifethreatening. Besides being cruel to the animals it has threatened human safety as well. Your example sited about the chickens is exactly correct. Most people are unaware of these issues. The term used is feedlots and most meat we consume if from these conditions. there are companies that do not do this One is Lauras beef and in grocery stores now you can find eggs from free range chickens.
