Did anyone see that commitee on C span thursday night? Both republicans and democrats with lots of spin and fingerpointing. Then suddenly hilary spoke up she admonished the group told them to give up the spin then outlined the four main issues with the program. she actually got them to start to work on the problems.It was like a mother scolding school children and redirecting them. Actually I was impressed.

I didn't see that, but it sounds true to form. A lot of those "bipartisan" committees end up with bickering and finger-pointing. When they do come up with something, people tend to ignore them instead of trying to pass anything. Really, I think they only get appointed to give people cover - if a politician doesn't want to deal with a tough problem, they just say they'll appoint a committee to study it so it looks like they're doing something. Both parties have done this a lot on things like Social Security, that Yucca Mountain nuclear waste dump, etc. I'm a little worried about having Hillary leading the way on this personally though (the 1993 health care plan still gives me the willies).

I do not care who solves the problem which party I just hope someone does, we have people cut off from lifesavings meds and pharmacists just giving them what they need out of thier own pocket...what a mess
