How much are you willing to help the Shanks Upton? Will you send them money? Will you visit her and care for her? I bet you wont!! Doesn’t that make YOU just as greedy and heartless?

A business as big as Wal-Mart has policies. If you sign on for them. You are legally obliged to be held accountable for anything that pertains to those policies. My advice is do not sign up for Wal_marts benefits unless your management. Who get the better of the benefits.
My hats off to your practical intellect for getting every last dollar in profit for Wal-mart but your response is also very cold hearted Your suggestion that Wal- Mart employees just not sign up for insurance unless they are management is like saying "let them eat cake". And just how on a minumum wage are they supposed to afford healthcare? Do you think its better that they get on the welfare train because thats exactly what most of the minimum wage workers would have to do. Maybe its time for some changes that benifit the workers. We used to be country that prided itself in taking care of our work force. What happened??

If I were to have a yearly net income of over 12 billion, such as Wal-Mart, you could then ask that question. Otherwise, any comparison is ridiculous.

Wal-Mart not only demanded back the money they had paid for Shank's medical bills, but they also insisted on interest and legal fees. The family now has to rely on Medicaid to keep up her round the clock care.

This woman is in such a brain damaged state that she frequently has to be reminded that her son is dead (killed in Iraq). Does Wal-Mart give a damn about any of this? Well, we have our answer.

The US Govt. has revenues of over $2.3 Trillion, why isn't the Govt paying her medical bills for a second time?
That's about 1/2 of one cent per taxpayer.
This is a good case for limiting the lawyer's fees to about 2% of all settlements/judgments.
This lady also got about $200,000 from her son's life Insurance.
The lawyers are the ONLY winners here. The victim is the loser!

I bet you could afford to send the Shank family $100. Would you consider doing that? I’m sure they could put it to good use.

Nice deflection. The bigger question is, do you support Wal-Mart and their handling of the Deborah Shank's case?

I asked if you would consider giving $100 to the Shank family. I will take that as a resounding NO. I think that is pretty greedy and heartless of you, hover I respect your right to be greedy and heartless, however I think it is pretty hypocritical to pass judgment on Wal-Mart for the same thing.

Sounds like your getting caught up in the bs of one case, broaden your fucking mind To add insult to injury, Walmart knew her son soon after her injury died in Iraq. Seems very cold and heartless to me and not a good marketing move either by Wal-mart
blah blah blah stop with the bs already

This story has nothing to do with the quality of the healthcare..read Uptons post or what ever you want to call it before you get all bent out of shape.
