Lets say we do it your way. A computer makes the diagnosis. Then what? Who do you go to since Georges whole premise was to get rid of doctors? No Doctors=no surgeons...no doctors=oncologists.
Carrying it a bit further, where do you find the Doctors to give the input if there are no doctors?
Speaking for myself, if I was diagnosed with a serious illness, I would seek out a second opinion anyway. And a third if I felt it warranted.

George;
I was formally diagnosised with a medical problem, not 1x, but 5x. Long story.
Anyway, I belong to a medical forum to see if there is anything new out there to try. But, what I find on the forum now are alot of people are self diagnosis-ed. Many of them incorrectly dx themselves and either have something less or more serious. As with Justme, I think it's very dangerous to self-dx yourself. Then you have all the predators of the newest "cure all" homeopathic/alternative route. I won't even go there, since I was a sucker and lost $5k out of pocket trying the "cure".

Actually, Carson you are right. At the age of 3 I did have severe allergic reaction to the small pox. That side effect was encephalitis.
"Although the term "encephalitis" literally means "inflammation of the brain," it usually refers to brain inflammation resulting from a viral infection."
Encephalitis - MayoClinic.com
I don't trust doctors, that's why I have been tested 5x to rule out other diseases that the encephalitis caused. But, I also think it's very dangerous to self-dx yourself or treat yourself.

Well I agree except for your last sentence, the condition you have is not the norm, most of the time its something like the flu or strep throat which is easy to self diagnose

What about people who improperly dx their back ache as as simple pain when it's cancer? What if they took it a step further and went to the chiropractor to cure their "back problem", not knowing it was cancer?

then they are dumb, you don't just magically get back problems, they are usually caused from an injury, if you get a back problem without injury you know you need to be a little more concerned

not for serious conditions, but like I said I don't see a problem self dxing myself with strep throat or the flu, if the internet would give me a antibiotic prescription for those conditions I wouldn't go to the doctor at all. But yeah if you got a brain condition or cracked vertebrae, or cancer you need a doctor.

The problem with self-medicating with anti-biotics is that your immune system will eventually reject them when you really need them.
