Bush is NOT from Texas. He is from CT.
Nevertheless, people may want to know that most of the people in Texas now are NOT native Texans. Most of the Americans in Texas are from Northern states.
Texas is full of hicks now!
BTW, I hear Democrats make bigoted remarks about people from Georgia and Alabama, when most of those people are African-Americans. lol
Some things never change.

Americans want change!!

All true.

As Ronnie would say. "There you go again.... This is America, the land of plenty, and it would be a waste to let the plenty go uneaten. And the only thing more American than the Whopper is two Big Macs and double fries. And to walk, and you are calling for running, when America has created the marvel of the SUV and cheap oil to carry us around, is just like you liberals, calling on Americans to sacrifice their lifestyle for you liberal ideology. And watching TV is mandatory because you never know when you see a fine movie, like the one where I say to my monkey, 'come here, gipper'."

Americans are fat because they have the best food and most restaurants per capita in the world? LOL

Jealousy and greed come in many forms.

I didn't notice the date on the initial post, so I clicked on the link to an article that doesn't exist. I was told to search, and I got this:

Texas Ranks Top Ten With Highest Obesity Rate
Reported by: Ericka English

It's a wide-spread problem. According to the Centers for Disease Control Texas has one of the highest obesity rates.

Local doctors say it's because Texans aren't as health conscious as other states but diet and exercise aren't the only issues.

For some people, a healthy diet and working out isn't working out.
:
Texas Ranks Top Ten With Highest Obesity Rate

One thing that I find interesting is the panic that existed in the 50s and 60s when like 10% of the men called up for the draft failed the physical because of being a few pounds over weight, and worse, washed out of boot camp because they couldn't get to the required 100 push up and 100 pull up in 8 weeks. So, Federal funding for building new schools for the boomer kids required phys ed programs at least three days a week all the way through high school.

Good ole Ronnie didn't want the Federal government telling his voters to be physically fit because the US would fight all future wars by remote control.

Aren't all the fat people a sign that the liberals aren't telling people how to live their lives, demanding sacrifice and struggle, and conservatives have set the standard for health and fitness at do what's fun, enjoyable, and easy, with zero sacrifice or struggle or hardwork required?

Obesity isn't a partisan issue.
It's a self control issue.

I am amazed that kids today don't play outside as much. When I was a kid you didn't want to stay inside because Mom would find things for you to do.

roflmao....true.
Now we have to fork over money for "camps" for the kids to play outside, safely.

But, hey Wii has come out with "Fit", so maybe that will help. It's just a matter of finding it, it doesn't stay on the shelves long. I personally want the balance game.
