Before refuting any of the attacks here re: universal health care in Canada, there is a question that I need some clarification with. I saw someone on here mention they pay $600.00/month for health care. I was wondering if that is per person, or for say a family of 4? What is the average health care cost for a typical family of 4 in the US?
PS-in NO WAY do I pay 80% of my income in taxes...
These health care plans are aimed at people like me. Self employed, a 1 man company with 1 child and single. I pay through the nose for healthcare on my son and myself and it hurts I admit but ummmmm................... No way in hell do I want the government telling me I have to buy into their plan and nor should I have to pay for someone elses care.
Leave charity where it belongs (in the private sector not government).
Before we punish an entire nation we ough to try other measures first such as: Stop limiting how many doctors medical schools can produce! Also, TORT reform!
until these 2 options are tried I see it as idiotic to punish an entire nation with national healthcare.
--FYI- most people are unaware that the federal government does dictate how many Doctors each school is alotted to graduate or else risk funding being cut off.
