Pretty sure you are defending yourself in this conversation, does that mean you are not secure with yourself? By your rationale it woudl be a yes.
You telling people that you are rich and successful doesn't show honesty. Just because someone portrays an image it doesn't mean they are honest, there is no way for you to prove you are being honest and really, you shouldn't care.
