All kidding aside, the right to vote isn't about earning, it's supposed to be about maintaining it. You can lose your right to vote by becoming a convicted felon or by getting a dishonorable discharge from the military.

Sad thing is, with the candidates we've seen the last 40 years, that isn't a deterent anymore, but a hidden benefit.
