Actually, I could see from day one that because it was an unmoderated forum we had the childish sort of chickenshit punks who wouldn't dare say to a persons face the kind of crap that they spew on here.

I also realize that another factor we have is multiple ID's...and I can see there is at least one with three so he can wind himself up...it certainly provides for cheap entertainment for the schizophrenic among us.

You have mentioned DOM1 before and I imagine that he will likely make my list...I've just not run across anything that I consider over the line...granted, I don't read all that many threads because although I am on here for extended periods of time, I am also involved with a number of other things on the internet so the quantity of threads is limited.

Here's the way I figure it...for the most part, I have neither the time nor desire to waste my time on trolls, bigots, sexists and certain others when it becomes obvious that they are not interested in defending their position and simply resort to childish antics and/or personal attacks that are inaccurate, therefore, I simply put them on ignore.

Of course, as I discovered last night some punk such as DEMOCANT will call me a coward behind my back...personally, I couldn't care less what it thinks of me but I figured to address this issue in one particular place where all of these sorts of individuals can be addressed for the benefit of others who may wish to know who and why I ignore certain people.

I can make my argument in various threads but this will be much more convienient in a case where future reference may be desired.

For the most part, I am sure that the people who make my list don't give a damn but in the case where someone may and feel that I have been unfair, they can approach me on here and we can evaluate the situation because I can look up the thread where I came to the decision to include someone on my list.

On the other hand, there may be an instance where someone decides they would rather not be considered to be similar to those on my list for what should be obvious reasons to anyone with any decency and a public apology for their actions would go a long way toward consideration for their removal from the list.

Quite honestly, I have no delusions of making any progress in this area but it is much more pleasant to be able to avoid reading much of the trash on this site and spend my time in conversation and more importantly reading and learning from those that are more worthwhile and have something interesting to share...actually, there are quite a few decent folks among us.

Secondly, while posting my name in so many of your posts you are not ignoring me, get it?

The fact is that you started the "ignoring" of me (and we all know you don't, and the OP in this post even proves that a lot of people aren't really ignoring anyone) after you were called out be several people when you said you were willing to bet that I was another poster.

As far as multiple ID's, well, Billy (wvpeach) has been caught using multiple ID's, tell me, who is the person who has three? Can you actually name the three names that are all used by the same person? Based on your saying that people who use multiple screen names are schizophrenic, then wouldn't you also say that Billy is schizophrenic? If not, then your standards for saying this depend entirely upon partisanship, not on multiple ID's. Especially since there is one lefty on here who has over ten names and readily admits it!

Tell me this, are you "ignoring" (in quotes because you aren't actually ignoring anyone) people because they disagree with you or because of some other reason?

Back to this multiple ID thing? Like I said, Billy has used more than one screen name, and makes disparaging remarks to people all of the time. So are you going to bet her also?

How did he "lose" anything? Did Billy also lose when she came onto 'your' thread and attacked other posters? IF you are being consistent then you would say that she lost also. So, how did she or cotton lose anything?

Also, and I would really like an answer, wouldn't you say that yoru criticisms of cotton on this thread also apply to Billy (wvpeach/lerch)? If not, then why wouldn't they? I would be real interested in hearing the logic behind your words not applying to her as well.

Are you not paying attention? I've already stated that I doubt most couldn't care less if I put them on ignore...it's not to effect them...it's to make my experience here more pleasant.

Schitzophrenic is a reference to people creating multiple ID's so they can debate with themselves...nothing quite as absurd as calling out one of your ID's by another of yours (the "your" is figurative...not directed at you personally)...as to your partisan argument, that is absurd since wvpeach and I are on opposite sides of the fence regarding two very basic issues...furthermore...to try and paint me as a "lefty" is absurd...if that were the case I likely wouldn't have been banned from DU.

I have no problem with disagreement...if we all agreed on everything what would be the point of debate?
