Okay, is this GOP version of conservative Liberal bashing, or Traditional Conservative brand?

Because it's a challenge, I believe it to be the Neo-Con GOP version. And that's just not as fun.

I'm not a Democrat Bigmutha, but I think it's hilarious how the party of homophobes has so many gays in it!!!

Well, it's kind of sad too. You'd have to hate yourself to be gay and republican....

Harold Ockenga suggested that in the conservative tradition there has been a movement from fundamentalism to neo-evangelicalism and ultimately to evangelicalism... My general impression is that all of these distinctions are overdrawn...

When someone refers to himself/herself as a conservative, which part of this complicated web of contradictions does he/she belong?

Basically, we are talking about conservative Protestantism in the United States, which is in general derived from three traditions: (1) conservative Lutheran and Calvinist groups, (2) the pietist traditions, and (3) indigenous American Churches... So, Mr. Badmutha, where do you belong in this complicated conservative web? Once that is made clear, the debate can begin...

Why don't you start a thread and we will just slap you down like normal?

You can't even start a relevant , intelligent poll about who to vote for here at Awe . I think your Clinton / versus Giullani poll pretty much showed you are lacking in any real cognitive thought. Yet you persist on that ridiculous thread to insist that is the only choice.

Why would anybody waste time arguing with a man that can't even start a decent poll? You seem to think everybody thinks on the same 8th grade level as you do badmutha and that is just not the case.

What was wrong with his poll? He merely said if it came down to Hillary or Rudy who would we vote for. Perhaps he should have said neither specifically, rather than I wouldn't vote but that doesn't change much since generally speaking third party candidates have very little support and a vote for a third party is a throw away vote.
