Default pro-gun activists use victims bodies for springboard

Charlton Heston is a senile man who's suppressed sexual tendacies has pushed him into a unhealthy obsession with firearms, in his old age equipment just doesn't work like it used to, thank goodness for his trusty winchester it always stands tall and never miss fires and you can rest assure that Heston will be there chasing the ambulance to the latest school shooting to ensure the public that the firearm used to wipe out young life is just as innocent as the victims.

and now the gun enthusiasts have Phillip Van Cleave to carry on the proud tradition of sounding like the worlds biggest insensitive asshole by saying that the VT shootings(referring to the fact VT had a gun ban therefore defenseless) is "the biggest nail in the coffin for gun control" on the same day that some of the victims were being layed to rest .......I got to shake my head at this statement and wonder if these people are the chosen leaders of this movement
then what does that say about the rest of them?

I've got to wonder at all the a-holes who would rather piss away our Constitutional freedoms for some ill-concieved utopia that'll never be. Its like this... if you don't want guns in your home, then by all means you shouldn't own any. That said, you should also keep your fucking paws off my Constitutional rights.

Simple, huh?

Major news outlets reported on April 18 about the shooting deaths of at least 19 gang members in Rio de Janeiro by rival gangs and police. These shootouts occurred despite Brazil's strict gun control laws.

Also in Wednesday's newspapers are reports about Tuesday's shooting death of the mayor of Nagasaki, Japan. Japan has some of the strictest anti-gun laws in the industrialized world.

In Scotland authorities are enacting knife control policies because violent crime has continued to climb (with knives as a weapon of choice) in the wake of the nation's gun bans. Should Americans speak contemptuously of Scotland's "blade and booze" culture?

Last November in Emsdetten, Germany, a teenager shot and wounded more than a dozen persons before killing himself. In 2002 in a school in Erfurt, Germany, a gunman killed 17 people and himself.

Five years ago I did research for an article on mass shootings. Here are a few of the headlines I came across:

"8 slain at council meeting"

"Teen wounds 5 in tech school"

"Suspected gang shooting leaves 4 dead, 2 injured"

"Man kills ex-bosses, principal, himself"

"Gunman kills self, 7 others"

The incidents these headlines describe occurred in France, the Netherlands, Japan, Germany and Italy, respectively. In the five years since that research, crime rates have continued to climb in many other countries with far stricter gun control laws than those in the United States.

In 1996 in Port Arthur, Australia, a crazed man shot and killed more than 30 people. After learning of the mass shooting at Virginia Tech, Australian Prime Minister John Howard told reporters this about his nation's response to the Port Arthur horror: "We took action to limit the availability of guns and we showed a national resolve that the gun culture that is such a negative in the United States would never become a negative in our country."

Prime Minister Howard neglected to say anything about the "culture" in Australia that prompted a man to commit a mass shooting. He also neglected to mention Australian government figures that show five years after the Port Arthur-inspired gun crackdowns, homicides had climbed 3.2 percent, assaults had gone up 8.6 percent, and, astoundingly, armed robberies had soared 45 percent. Crime rates remain high in Australia despite the confiscation of hundreds of thousands of firearms, and gun bans.

On September 28, 2001, in peaceful Switzerland, a man shot and killed 14 people, including 11 members of a local canton council.

Simple??? For a braindead fucking Liberal, I doubt it, as just blaming the fucking moron that did the shooting is wrong in their book!

Even though VTech Security came off looking like Pinkerton Rent a Cops, instead of Professionals, and the negligence of the fucking Judge, the pussy "FEEL GOOD" crowd, who allowed him to go unchecked, ITS YOUR GUN that did the job!

Fuckin Liberals!!!!

Yes, removing guns totally is not achievable. The episodes you mention are much rarer in those societies than in ours. The fact that these things happen elsewhere despite gun control laws is sad. Nothing is fool proof. However, gun 'CONTROL' needs to be improved. No one needs an automatic weapon or a clip of ammunition that holds 10 or 20 rounds. Our addiction to guns is a part of our macho self image and our fear of being seen as weak if we act as civilized human beings. The Constitution is a living document and can change with the times, it needs to change slowly and carefully, but the second ammendment has outlasted its usefulness. Nothing will ever prevent people from killing people, that is human nature, we just should not make it so easy.

Sachem, so you choose to change the constitution to meet the changing times? I am sorry but I don't think the constitution is just a document, but is the guide lines that created a great free country. I will continue to fight for the rights of gun ownership. This is a right that citizens of this country have it as with all rights granted by the constitution, worth fighting for.

So the Constitution is a living document and should change with the times. What would you say if we wanted to change the constitution to allow slavery once again? Or how about changing the constitution to eliminate the Supreme Court. Lets do away with that pesky fifth amendment as well. Lets enact a law that requires anyone to have a permit before they can write letters to the editor or even editorials.

I find it absolutely amazing that the left is able to find a constitutional "right" of privacy (which appears nowhere in the constitution) but cannot understand a simple amendment, the only amendment that ensures the rest of the constitution is never destroyed.

What is the gun banners real agenda here?

Charlton Heston is a victim of Alzheimer's, hasn't been president of the NRA in years and will not be chasing any ambulances anywhere.

Get your facts together accurately and try again.

We no longer consider negroes as 3/5 of a person, the Constitution can be changed when it needs to. If we could change the Constitution to eliminate the Roberts Court I would be in favor!! (chuckle, chuckle)
