EXACTLY! Many people seem to forget why we have the right to bear arms in the first place - it certainly wasn't for hunting!

So do not believe in the 1st amendment nor the freedom of speech? If you did not exercise this right, just how are you communicating at this present time, on a thread dedicated to the propagation of weapons, just where else on the planet is this freedom so openly used OR ALLOWED....or was the first thing that popped into your "bigoted" mind, only concerning the word of God, which was not mentioned? And believe me, the spoken word has indeed caused more death than any weapon ever invented, just look at Hitler, Liberal communism and their planned parenthood death camps, all gestated by opinion of the spoken word only. I think I read somewhere once that the second amendment was about commoners vs aristocracy. In Europe only the upper classes were allowed to own weapons and having the universal right to own weapons was a badge of social egalitarianism

Ummmmmm....does not a law forcing someone to obtain a liscence for a gun in itself violate the Constitution?

That's true. But look at it this way, Europe was still pretty feudal, with a king and all. The Aristocracy had the guns and used the guns to keep control over the commoners without the guns.
It really isn't a badge of egalitarianism, it actually makes egalitarianism possible.

You're problebly right. And banning guns from felons could be wrong too. Hey but who cares it doesn't stop them any way, their criminals.

How Powerful Of A Weapon Should You Be Able To Own?
What've ya got?
I don't think it's an issue of how big, but how many. It's not the guys with a 50 cal. that get taken down, it's the ones with many guns and months of ammo stored away. That's when the Gov't gets nervous.
