Thread: This is my boomstick

My experience is that to have any chance at all you must (1) know where the game is; (2) approach from downwind; and (3) stalk with the slow stealth of a leopard. If you can get within 100 yards, count yourself lucky.

ive never shot an animal from greater then 50 feet. most were 35 or less. i said FEET. open up your private messages and i will tell you a little secret about how to walk up on game including turkey to the point where its ALMOST possible to scratch them behind the ears. { not the turkey of course, they have no external ears to speak of }.

I've shot game, mostly white tail deer, mule deer, and wild hogs (boar) anywhere from five feet away to 320 yards away. Stalking is just a skillset - it doesn't make you a hero.

Usually hunting with a gun that cost less than $500.00 - no need for retarded english drillings or handmade exotics.

looks nice. never been out in the rain i see. or you covered it before the cloud burst. my son uses a 20 dollar rifle. stalking is cool. have you ever let them go without shooting? im sure you have. when your that close, its hard to not meet their eyes head on. most of the time i didnt stalk. usualy im smoking a ciggerett. that thunderstick you have looks great. { i hope you use buckshot when shooting small game. }
