I don't know wether or not the story is a fake or not but I guess you would want citizens to depend on the police to protect us right?

First off, the need for "protection" is higly overblown
Second, Every study ever done shows guns are not a good means of home security...and you are more likly to kill a family member then an intruder.
Personally, I have never been a victim of a violent crime, and neither have nearly everyone I know
The cost of my alarm system, is peanuts per month, and irt wont kill my sister if she stops by late some night when I dont know she's coming
And you need not wonder, that story IS a fake, It has been recycled over and over, just like most stories of it's kind

Jusk keep relying on it not having happend to you, yet, and your security system. At least a "clean up crew" will be summoned by the security company. Because the police will not arrive in time to stop anything.

When the power goes out then what happens to your alarm system? In case your wondering I have never been a victim either but then if I ever am my guns will protect me.
