See that pic of Norman Clyde, Cletus?

That was an old "seat" method that you might have thought suitable for the children, no?

It's pretty much the little girl's fault, because she can't take responsibility for her own actions, just as much as the parents, are implying that just because there are stupid people, like her parents, that everybody else is equally irresponsible, and can't be trusted by society to protect themselves?

Jan, Lets get real about your grandkids going into their parents closet.
irst o all Parents should teach their kids to stay out their bedroom peroid,
due to the fact that adult bedrooms isn't the place for kids to play in,
and no kid should be in their parents room without being under an adult
supervision (meaning when the parents is in the bedroom).

This is one of society's major problem now Parents don't give the kids
attention, and a household with a gun(s) should be on guard by puttin
guns out of reach or where a three year old can't discover it by accident.
Also the biggest blame is Kids watching the tele-a-lie-vision where guns
is involved in movies or a t.v series.

I have two firearms that I keep on me at all times, but when I am at
home the first thing I do is empty the shells, and I double check the
chamber for a shell that maybe still in the chamber. Then I have a
safe place where I place my weapon, and its in a place where I can
get to it (ONLY) in case of an emergency.

That's bullshit, and the ONLY way they know better is to be taught.
That's like saying (When we have sex at night they are sleep), and
again that's bullshit. Kids seek things out when we are not expecting
them to do things, and what they see us do they do also.

In closing, Parents should teach about safety in the home, and then
put their foot down with rules. Teenagers, are all together different
damn problems, due to the fact that they are the ones who try to
be slick, and usually the ones who try to impress their friends that
they are hip. STOP blaming the guns...blame the people.

From the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action:
Quote:
The annual number of accidental gun deaths among children has declined 89% since 1975. Today, the odds against a child dying in a gun accident are a million to one. Seventy-eight times as many children die in accidents involving or due to motor vehicles, suffocation, drowning, fire, bicycles and falls. (National Center for Health Statistics)

Accidental firearm deaths are at an all-time low, among the entire U.S. population and among children in particular. In 2004, there were 649 accidental firearm-related deaths, including 63 among children. (National Center for Health Statistics)

You may not like the source of information, but they are pretty good with research data and firearm safety training.

Well hell what good is all those logical factual things. These people care not about the facts because it does not serve their anti gun agenda. Anyone with half a bit of eyesight and hearing can tell without a doubt it is not about the terrible tragedy or the real problem of the irresponsability of shit parents rahter an agenda by those who don't like guns and have a hard on to get rid of them. They are as dillusioned as those radical religious freaks that got prohabition past the very same people that saw the damage they did and petitioned to get prohibition repealed.

Ironic Twist in 3-Year Old Self-Shooting Case: Defendant Shot While Jury Was Cleaning Gun

"We were cleaning our gun, and it just went off!", claims Jury. "The defendant was told repeatedly to go outside while we were cleaning our gun, but he snuck in anyway."

The Jury says it normally practices gun safety while cleaning its gun around the Defendant, but this time the Defendant didn't stay away.

The Jury is hoping for a speedy recovery of the Defendant, so they can return to listening to his excuses about how a 3-year old that he was responsible for managed to get his gun.

"We know this looks really bad, considering the nature of the case we were hearing, but we swear...it was just a freak accident!"

When asked whether he was considering replacing the Jury, the Judge said, "I see no need to declare a mistrial. The Defendant was told not to get near the Jury's gun, but he did it anyway. It's not the Jury's fault."
