"Maybe it would be smart of you to come up with a plan to keep our college and high school classrooms a little more safe, eh? And while your at it, maybe you'd like to devise a plan to keep the shopping malls free of terrorists, eh? The ball is in your court."

The misuse of an object is not an argument against its proper use.

Every right we have needs to be protected, the right to bear arms included. It's one of the few means the citizenry has to protect themselves against a corrupted state, as well as any other who might wish to do harm to us and our loved ones.

It's convenient to spin a tragedy to back an agenda, but restrictive laws do little to rectify the situation. For every story of one person going on a rampage there are plenty more stories of lives saved by carrying concealed arms of some kind.

It's important to remember that if our right to bear arms is dissolved or restricted too far, criminals will still be carrying and smuggling arms and the state will (for the most part) be armed as well.

True as said...furthermore...you'd just be adding another criminal class.
