Gun registration just keeps law biding citizens in check, and they are not the ones you have to worry about. It has no effect on criminals ability to obtain illegal firearms, never has never will.

True, in the same way that car registration doesn't prevent drunk driving, or auto theft.
It does allow for return of property that has been stolen, etc

Then only gun accountability should be the course because gun control is an illusion. Well it will only control and burden those who have the legal right to own them. Just an observation. I believe the major push for banning guns like assault rifles etc. came at a time when a growing amount of citazens were getting tiered of bullshit etc. and actualy well hell just going the hell off and when the police had to come up against them well that created a problem. But I mean realy what is the ultimate purpose I mean the one they use. TO KEEP GUNS OUT OF CRIMINALS HANDS, do the laws do that and be honest especialy Ghost dog be honest does it. NO and any adult or teenager with half a brain knows this. So with that in mind what is the law doing other than burdening the citazen that has the right. Places like california is even worse I called and asked what I had to do to transport my pistol to the indoor range. I was told it would be better if I just rented one there because if I got pulled over they would arrest me. Now how is this serving the public to turn law biding citazens into criminals. The federal govt. should step in make an amendmant to the constitution that clarifies better the right to bare and enforces that right. You can demand registration for accountability but other than that no go. This would automaticly repeal all the bullshit state laws that make criminals out of good citazens. Hell I even believe in mandatory gun class since city folk don't teach there kids like they use too. That is mearly gun safety but outlawing guns that should be repealed.

Hey Shadow, you know I think we agree.
I don't see how registering is all that bad, I don't really know of anyone who objects to registering their car.
I'm not sure that gun safety classes need to be mandated, although like you I wouldn't object.
Gun bans don't work. I'm against shit that doesn't work!!!

I use to not think they should be mandated either. But when I got stationed in california and noticed all the people that were raised and bought into the gun is evil thing. All leading to many many young adults and teenagers that although they had never been taught about guns and gun safety they were still not free of possable exposure to them and that is dangerous. One case that drove it home to me was a girl I was going out with her 16 year old brother went to a friends house, the parents were not home the boys dad had a nine mil. his kid had jared the lock and all five where sitting in the garage playing with it. One kid pointed it at another (not knowing it had a hair trigger or even what that was) any way shot him right in the throat and killed him I went to the funneral even after this tragic thing happened I shit when I herd people saying see the gun basicaly is evil. WHAT DUMB FUCKS IF THEY HAD TAUGHT THERE KIDS ABOUT GUNS FROM AN EARLY AGE THAT BOY WOULD NOT BE DEAD. So I do think it would be a good Idea to mandate a weapons familirazation and safety class so those people that had psycho anti gun parents do not have to learn by mistakes wich can be deadly for them or others.

I wouldn't oppose gun safety classes.....perhaps have a quick test to see if it is needed, kind of like the written test for a drivers license. Fail, then you need the class....
Nothing can be done about idiot parents, unfortunately. Sorry about your friend Shadow...there are far too many incidents like that.
A guy I knew had his eye shot out bird hunting, 'cause a stupid fuck he was with wheeled around and shot BEHIND him. Unfortunately there is no shortage of idiots in the world.....
