Get a clue.
You are talking to somene who has chased down hit and run drivers and taken them to the police (I pulled the idiot out of the GD car and he was quite surprised at this, he did not have chance to get a knife or gun...anything, I was quick about it, and this guy had a criminal record that I found out later)...I don't fuck around with people who are truly criminals and don't play by the rules. Don't make assumptions.
I will fight side by side with anyone anywhere when the REAL emergency arises, don't worry yourself. The patriotism that I have and can show when needing to REALLY fight will be just fine, I am totally sure of this (I had no problems in Basic Training and being in the Army, was a great marksman and have no problems if it is a kill or be killed situation). When the XXX extremists are ready to cross the MS River and about to invade this county I will be the first to slit a throat even when left with only a pocket knife when every other means is gone. But, it won't get there.
I don't show my patriotism by making some dumbass statement about the country going down the f'cking toilet and how I have the balls enough to arm myself to the teeth (balls for me is being able to use your mind first). My quality of life is not based on figuring out trying to barricade myself and the quickest way to take out all who don't agree with my ultra-right wing Neanderthal views. This does not rise to the level of true patriotism, it is flat out stupidity. You should be more afraid of the current guy in the White House pushing the country into the 'haves and have nots' that make people agitated enough kill one another for an inch of land or as a vendeta against 'the man.'
I would rather use my time to intellgently have conversations and educate younger people into working hard and making these issues of killing one another go away. Ironically, I had one of these types today...a kid that has been on the 'white repression' band wagon for a while and has been a 'militant' who has had to be confronted with logic. Today...now at 25 years of age (the age we finally start to solidify a personality) he is now coming around and realizes he was being an ass and needs to re-enroll, get school finished, and not let life pass by his sorry ass. I could have written him off as a crackpot extremist with a bunch garbage he said in my classroom a while back but it has to do with knowledge and matuity...not us against them.
The arming yourself to the teeth is total BS bravado, I am already in my mid forties and have been robbed (several times) and have had a car stolen three times...and when able to chase someone down I will, and have twice...I have never owned a gun and keep a nice 6 iron just behind my headboard. I plan on living a long time, I have no plans for a bomb shelter...but I do plan on educating many more kids that we do live a great country that can be very good to you when you are educated, aware of the world, and carry a positive/no quit attitude.

If a law abiding citizen wants to own guns-that is their right.
Personally-I will use my mind and enjoy my freedom. I like to travel-I change clothes 4 X/day (running, street clothes,scrubs-I cannot take a gun to work-I am safer in my home without a gun) I do not want to carry a gun.

lol well I aplaude you for the brass but you take me the wrong way. I have no bomb shelter nor do I plan to I do say arm yourself though not to the teeth but nothing wrong with keeping one in your home and knowing how to use it. You never know when you might need it. This country is doomed if we don't turn it around, the kids are where we start but with all the corruption and bullshit I just don't see it turning around without drastic measures some day. We have long neglected our school systems and not lack of money but mismanagment of it. The other big problem is the power radical liberalism has taken away from the teachers to dicipline. Well I could go on but I have not the interest anymore I jumped in and guess now that I read my earlier post, came across wrong.

I got a 9mm barretta, 2 sawed off Shot guns, a tazer, a laser rifle, a tommy gun, a military grade hummvee, a tank, a jet, a small naval task force & some mace.
I'm ready for anything.
Now if I could just find a country that I could put all my right to bear arms in, I'd be all set.
We're havin' an end time meeting next Friday.

All I got is a Luger, an AK 74, a Chinese SKS, and an AR 15. I won a trophy with the SKS ( it is better than you would think with a few tweaks). And an assortment of Bolt Action and black powder rifles.
My Collectors items are
Arisaka (of some sort, bought it for 30 bucks at a closing military base)
M1 Garand
Mauser
My prize is a Springfield Model 1903, the only one I own that is completely refurbished and usable. Need to find a bayonet for it, so if you know of any retailers for authentic spare parts for the three listed give me some links.
I guess if Hillary, Obama, Gulliani, McCain or Huckabee get elected. I will be classified a criminal for shooting sports and hunting.
I mean, shit...
There wasn't a whole lot to do as a child out in the boons, so I shot stuff with an old .22 rifle my Grandfather bought me at Sears. Not like I had the Nintendo 64s, Internet or Cable T.V. where I grew up.
See, what people fail to realize is that few (if any) people like IHNR or LEFTISWRONGs came from rural or anything lower than upper middle class. I worked for what I got, and I took an enjoyable hobby with me. When I moved out into a more suburban area.
There is absolutely no reason to demonize private Gun-Ownership. Of any kind of Gun, for that matter.
So take your dire predictions of how the streets of America run red with the blood of children and the elderly. When in fact, most victims of Gun violence, can own a gun in the cities they live in.

I was just in a country far more corrupt than ours about four weeks ago, they are not close to going into the toilet.
I use plenty of discipline in my classroom, it takes intelligence to do this the right way...not being forceful, if kids detect stupidness they will take advantage. It has zero to do with liberalism, policies from the right have just as much f'cked up our schools. Don't fool yourself.

You missed the point completely.
We are talking about attitude and how you perceive this country, I don't give a crap about how many guns you have and what fun they might be for you.

I understand the point. I was countering the anti-everythingistas. Who think everyone who owns a weapon is some pot bellied militia nut waiting for the NWO to come marching into washington D.C. to set up the Global Government.
I use them for sport. Exclusively.
As most people do. To demonize the ownership of them, is like banning everything for every reason.
Makes no sense.
I also understand the reason we have the 2nd Amendment. Not for the privalidge of hunting, but to ensure that the American people can resist tyranny and oppression from foreign powers and domestic powers. The reason you should simply use shooting sports to be hand with them.
Sub Machine guns are not gonna be useful. A mob of concealed snipers, are.

In regards to your obvious contempt of gun owners and gun rights...I'd like to say:
The forefathers of this nation were a lot smarter than you. There's a reason the 1st amendment is the freedom of speech, and the 2nd amendment is the right to bear arms. Tyranny can only exist once these 2 rights have been taken away. I make no bones about it. The 2nd amendment was put in place just in case they forget the rest of them. So post all the underhanded, snide little comments you want. I'd rather have a gun (actually lots of them) and not need it, then need a gun and not have it...How 'bout you?
