Default Another Inconvenient Truth.

Al Gores Personal Energy Use Is His Own Inconvenient Truth
by Drew Johnson, Tennessee Center for Policy Research
posted February 26, 2007

Last night, Al Gores global-warming documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, collected an Oscar for best documentary feature, but the Tennessee Center for Policy Research has found that Gore deserves a gold statue for hypocrisy.

Gores mansion, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).

In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gores average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gores energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006.

Gores extravagant energy use does not stop at his electric bill. Natural gas bills for Gores mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year.

As the spokesman of choice for the global warming movement, Al Gore has to be willing to walk to walk, not just talk the talk, when it comes to home energy use, said Tennessee Center for Policy Research President Drew Johnson.

In total, Gore paid nearly $30,000 in combined electricity and natural gas bills for his Nashville estate in 2006.

Jody, I have to hand it to you with your post. Al wants us to cut our carbon footprint so that he can continue to waste energy.

Default You are right on Jody!!

I was going to post the same message, I am sick and tired of the so-called "leaders" of this country acting like we all fell off of a cabbage truck and that they know what is best for us. Everyone needs to copy that article and post it all over the internet.

I suppose you can get records from the gas and electric companies for any individual...what gets me is that with his money and his spiel his household should run on solar or some other alternate energy source.

Default Yet Another Inconvenient Truth

Millions of people will die in Zimbabwe this year because of starvation.

While the lefty enviro-theists wring their hands over "carbon-neutrality" people will starve to death because of lefty dictator Mugabe.

Then. ???

Then the lefties will blame the Republicans for not doing anything about it.

But don't you dare tell the Clintonistas that they let all those people in rwanda die.

Maybe it should be titled An Inconsistent Truth. I can't believe in global warming science because the same scientific community indoctrinated me with ice age science.

And boy, I saw Gore at the Oscar's and it looks like he's really been hitting the sauce. And I don't mean chocolate sauce. Was he this much of a boozer when he was VP or did the bender start after losing to GWB? 'Course that would drive me to drink but...WOW!
