An inconvenient truth: You are indoctrinated, but it is not with science. One of the few rational statement I've seen you make.

The point being? Pretty flimsy science that puts its stock in consensus rather than fact. In the 70's the consensus was an ice age, and it was taught with near militant fervor. And believe me there was the same hysteria as today. As to Mr. Gore's movie? He appears to playing on people's fears with his rhetoric. More irony...a politician playing on fear.

But the danger is leaning too far in either direction. We should be able to find some balance somewhere.

Skinny, the point is that if we are worried or scared then we will have something to look at besides what is really happening in the world.

As much as I hate to agree with Rush L.( I would struggle to prove the sky was a shade of green if he said it was blue) I do like what he said about global warming once.....The world has been getting warmer since the last ice age, thank God.

And of course what we do effects the climate to some degree, but unless you walk away from your car, turn off your electricity and do your part on your own, just saying fix it to the gov't is a huge waste of time.
