Thank Goodness For GLOBAL WARMING!

If it didn't warm up - the draft dodgers would be up on a Canadian glacier.

... and so would people in many states!

Joe, I have been asking for months but none on the global warming bandwagon will answer, What will be the benefits of global warming? The earth has gone though several warming and cooling periods throughout its history. Wouldn't we benefit if it were warmer in Northern Canada and able to grow more crops?

I find it strange that the groups that are pushing the single minded agenda of global warming are the very people who tell us there are two sides to every story.

You might find it interesting to do some research on the Little Ice Age. Before the 13th century you could grow wine grapes as far north as Britain in Europe and the Vikinigs gave North America the name Vineland because grapes used to grow as far north as the mid-Atlantic states. But all that ended when the Little Ice Age started.

One of the episodes in the PBS series Secrets of the Dead is about a period of global cooling that started about the time Rome fell to the Barbarians. Supposedly a massive volcanic eruption put so much ash and debris into the sky that sunlight was blocked. The result was cold, famine, pestilence and pretty much global upheaval that put Western Europe into the Dark Ages.

Krakatoa(sp?), a volcano that erupted in the 19th century had a similar (but vastly more short-lived) effect on the world’s weather (New England saw at least 1 freeze every month for 12 months in a row). And then Mt. Pinatubo(sp?) cooled the earth for a while when it erupted in the 1990s.

Hey - The scientific geeks have their own slant on it too - all I know is the scientific geeks tried to tell me I was wrong and it had nothing to do with what ever ...

Fact is ... I keep tossing out little tidbits to see if there is ANYTHING that might eventually sound logical to me .... as to HOW people effected global warming back in the BIG ice age ...

It's just a game of cat & mouse to me ...

it's like religion and science arguing about evolution - even though the Bible supports evolution ...

I know enough to cause a commotion!

Even if people won't agree with me ...
hopefully I made them think a little harder at least once!

Just out of curiosity, how does the Bible support evolution?

I knew that would catch a nibble!

http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Gen/Gen001.html#20

Gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl [that] may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

See? the water brought forth the MOVING creatures ... tell me man does not move ....

Yes, that is also the reason to be careful with the planet that sustains us.
We are conducting an experiment through our activities, caution is warranted.

Some areas might benefit, others not so much.

The real problem is nobody knows if there will be a sudden disruptive change.

Should we panic? No. Should scientific consensus be ignored? No.

There are reasons other than global warming to abandon petroleum as a fuel.

I expected a reply that is this lame because the internet proponents of evolution seldom put much time and thought into their efforts.

This passage does not support evolution; it merely reflects the order in which God created living things.
