Well, in your area, the climate and pollution self regulate, with increased warming you get increased wind speeds, up to 150 MPH, to clear out the smog. The west coast metro areas with the Pacific on one side and mountains on the other, end up with no wind clearing away the smog. They call it the Pacific because most of the time is is peaceful.
