Tell me. What is the concensus explanation for gravity?

Gravity waves like radio waves and light? Are there gravity particles, gravitons, like light particles, photons?

Or is gravity explained by string theory? And are there 17 dimensions or only 9?

I am surprised that the theory of gravity has reached concensus so quickly. Did it happen on Thursday or Friday and I missed the science news report from the global convention of the ten thousand physists working on on aspect or another of the question?
