Then I say there can be no better use of my tax money than to figure out how we counter act this in our food supply. And what it will mean for parts of the country all ready hard pressed in shortages of water.

    Man made, natural occurance.

    Doesn't matter.

If its coming, we should be doing something to make sure we can feed and provide water to the nation.

That research will pay off in the long run anyway. It will pay dividends in new ways to manage water resources and increased food production in areas that need that climate change or no climate change.

So lets not be short sighted and bite our own noses off to spite our faces, okay men?
    I agree mostly...but only if it's true.

Since I don't travel in scientific circles, I have no frame of reference to decide which scientist is motivated by honesty and which is motivated by his benefactor's interests. There are volumes of data on both sides, and volumes of critiques of every scientist...and I don't know ANY of the people who wrote ANY of those volumes.

If the Globe is Warming, you're right - the blame is pointless, except in determining what to fix. But what if we come up with the right fix to cool the Globe, and it didn't need cooling? Then we have another couple decades of blaming everyone for Cooling the Globe, then another couple decades of figuring out if it's true...

All we know right now is fossil fuels suck, and are limited. I say we ignore the hysteria over Global Warming, let it fall back into the hands of academia alone, and out of Gov't hype. The truth will out much quicker, then we can figure out what, if anything, needs to be done about it.

Till then, we KNOW we ought to stop sucking the fossil tit, whether or not it's hurting the planet. Make that an actual political, scientific, and social GOAL instead of a leverage point to win votes, squeeze taxes, and make war.
Global Warming is my favorite color.

I couldn't agree more Saint . You and I are in perfect agreement on your last post.

The way I figured it was like this when everybody started hollering global warming is man made ...........................So?

If it is china and India will never do their part to stop it and everything I have read says the world would have to get involved to make a difference ...............That ain't happening. So why argue over it?

In the mean time we already have states like Colorado and Arizona hard hit with water problems and research in how to grow crops in cold weather or deadly sun is a good thing for everybody.

I happen to know there is plenty of money already going into water research and crop research at many of our major universities. Funded by both the tax payer and private people who hope to profit from such technology.

So, we all need to stop arguing about global warming. The world will never come together to stop it if its happening anyhow, and is caused by man made things.

Instead lets focus on things we can do something about.

We all need to eat, and water is the nectar of life.

If we didn't cause it, and we didn't, then there is nothing we can do to stop it.
