Default AWE Question ...

It seems like an obvious question (maybe too obvious for our current leadership), but why don't we submit a bill to the Mexican government for the medical care and education we provide to its citizens? They can pay us in cash or barrels of oil.

We would probably get sued in the World Court for breech of contract in relation to the property status of "Texas"......now we just could not have our "President".....living in a foreign country.....even though he acts as if he does so....already. As he treats them(Illegals) as citizens. BD

>>>Wouldn't hurt to send 'em a bill and see what happens. But I don't think Bush (even if he had thought of sending a bill) wants to upset his close friends in the Mexican aristocracy.

I am a life long Republican (at least on the national level - I first campaigned for Barry Goldwater) but for the life of me I cannot understand Bush's position on illegal aliens and why he seems to be giving the country away. I understand a case can be made that we are all of an immigrant background. However, the majority of our ancestors came here thru legal channels. All any of us want is to come here legally and actually want to be in the United States for more than just our welfare.

exactly.....if they were serious.....they would....first control the border..then enforce the dictations of law already espoused by the throne. BD

>>>He's done it on a bunch of fronts, not just immigration. He's like no Republican I've ever met.

I've been a Conservative since around 21 years old. That's when I started understanding what my Father had tried to instill in me from a very early age...Just how precious our Freedoms are. That was the year I made my first "West-Pac". tour. Nothing will make you change your mind quicker about how bad you "think" it is in the United States until you see how most of the Planet has to live...
