Default Will Radical Muslims attack US before next election?

My personal opinion is that we will not see any major terror attacks before the elections next year unless it is a shoe in that a Republican is going to win. IMHO the radical muslim statigist will not want to tip the scale toward the Republicans before the election because they know they will be "safer" if a Democrat is elected. An attack on US soil now will once again put terrorism as the driving force of the election and all polls have shown that the Republicans are considered to be the stronger party in protecting the country.

I actually think it's quite the opposite. If they attacked it would be to insure that they continue to have a good thing...Republicans in power to keep America in a small minded reactionary conflict. They know that if more level headed people from both parties gain control that those people will work more realistically with the world body to go after international criminals & they won't have a snow balls chance in hell of staying legitimized. As long as the current crop of reactionaries are in political office, playing off our fear, they know they have it made perpetual delusional existential conflict.

I'm amazed how blind people are to the simple truth. By using nation state military resources to go after fanatic nutjobs we legitimize them, make all our lives more unsafe by so doing & create perpetual conflict & fear.

If we worked more with international law & special forces enforcement keeping covert & minimizing their desperate need to be seen as legitimate while working on a global scale to deal with the complex underlying issues of economic disparity we would completely delegitimize them & eventually sweep these fanatics into the dustbin of history. They are like problem children desperate for attention & we reward them with the wrong kind of attention.

agreed.... Any kind of attack would just bolster the postition of the republicans....

And the attacks in britain are proof of what will happen if a canidate that wishes to leave iraq is elected... Brown was adamanet in removing the british troops from iraq and the terrorist capitalised this by planning multiple bombings in london and Browns hometown.... Hoping that Brown would cower and hasten his decision in removing the troops..

If a anti iraq war democrat gets elected we most certainly can except the same...

Crow, I am sorry but I don't think these guys think if Democrats, who are pathologically driven to pull out of Iraq and stop the war on terror, are elected that would mean the rest of the world would suddenly wake up to the radical muslim issue. I sincerely believe that if Democrats win the election we will be out of Iraq in a matter of months, I think the muslims will step up attacks in the US to give the Dem's ammunition to say "See, we need to just leave these people alone and all will be ok". I think the muslims see the Republicans as a group that will fight back no matter what the cost.

I think the Defense Policy Board has been coordinating another attack ever since 9/11 turned out to be so successful. Another attack would be good for the economy in general, good for the multi-nationals, good for Israel, and especially good for Republican candidates.

"Coordinating another attack since 9/11 turned out to be so successful?" Do you get any light at all in your cave?" That is proposterous and totally without substantiation. Just a little bird, I guess, whispering in your ear while you sleep.

Why do suppose OBL wanted Kerry elected? Because we would have been a weak and weak minded nation if we had.

Personally, I think they will attack either shortly before or shortly after the election. Shortly before and we will have another republican president. Shortly afterward is a safer bet because if a democrat is elected, especially HC, we will be completely vulnerable.

>>>Substantiation??? Might I suggest you read up on the Progress for a New American Century folks, most of whom ended up in Bush's administration. "We gotta get us a new Pearl Harbor, by golly!" They successfully got their Pearl Harbor and it worked out just great.
