I am not sure if this topic has been discussed. I was just thinking how much easier it would be to get service if everyone spoke English in this country.

Yes yes yes ! I am going to run down the road screaming if I accidentally get the spanish translation after being on HOLD for 30 min . This happened when I was on the phone with .......THE I.R.S !

I am not sure if this bothers anyoneelse, but a couple of weeks ago at Lowes, I noticed that store hours were listed in Spanish on the front doors. If people are living in this country, they should be able to speak English in public. I know for a fact that if you travel to Europe noone will speak anyother language but their countries language. If you want to work you must learn the language.

Yes it should be. I tried ordering food at a McDonalds in CA and I had to wait 5 mins for the manager to come take my order. I asked him what country I was in...he was basically silent. What the hell is going on? Theres nothing wrong with being able to speak both, but its brutal when you can't even order some fast food without having to wait for a "translator". What a F*CKING joke!

People wonder why we as a country are losing our sense of patriotism...pride...and at the same time becoming polarized politically....Our language is the tie that binds....we have so many people in this country right...that just refuse to become part of our culture...they bring theirs with them....and we have became so PC....no one speaks up about how....we must bend our culture to meet theirs....backasswards...if you ask me....just an observation......there should be only one language...in our schools....work places...and in the public in general...."ENGLISH".
