I would agree that mandantory service to this great nation should be required. I am not quite as strict as George O Well is, but I think some sort of service would not only help this nation in the form of protection, but I think that it would help the young people in this nation learn some respect. I believe that the number one problem facing this nation is the lack of respect of our youth. In simply watching a few minutes of MTV, one can see that youth today do not repect themselves or each other. Look at today's athletes, they claim its all about respect and someone shouldn't disrespect another. Look, I have been disrespected a number of times, but I don't generally lose my temper, curse at people, or shoot anyone. We need to value life in this country, and we need to start with our Youth. They are our future.

rdnor, I totally agree with you. People stand up and preach that others should be drafted without commenting on when and where they served. I am not saying that they didn't serve, but those that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
