chateauroux do you enjoy robbing people of their lives? Or how about making fatherless children and childless parents? Please tell me,do you get some kick from this?

About the draft, its unconstitional to drag citizens off to die so some millionair can drive his gas-guzzleing high priced car.The USA army isnt really facing any major combat that would require a draft anyway.Draft should only be used when a foriegn power has occupied US soil.

HEY!!! SINO is back... Good to see ya man.

I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but do you hold that view of WWII?

I think the only reason that bill was even discussed recently was to make the lawmakers think twice about sending their own children to war. (as if....)

S.K. I'm with rdnor, if you don't like it, France or Canada will take you. Get the $%^& out of my country. And yes, the love for my country and its way of life will still go on even if I die.

Article One of the Code of Conduct.

I am an American fighting in the forces which guard our country and its way of life. I am prepared to give my life in its defense.

I compleatly disagree with the idea of drafting people into th military. Drafting is a small form of slavery, forcing people to work in the army. A country like America that has to draft to win a war because their people don't support them does not deserve to win a war.

I agree completely with that last sentence. Excellent point.

I think at some point, they will reinstate the draft. For those 18-35 years old, I believe that is the age group. And as usual, some people won't have to go because their uncle's best friends, father's cousin is so in so, they will escape, unlike the rest of us ordinary citizens. Anyway, that is mho

I am for mandatory federal service for all people 18 and older. It doesn't have to be in the military but that should be an option. I am reminded of the bumper sticker that said America love or leave it.

By the way I served in the Army for 20 years.

"Draft the Bush daughters and watch how fast the war ends"

>>>That's my point. Voluntary army or conscripted army, there ain't nobody fighting that war except poor folks.

I might be in favor of letting supply and demand work. Find out the market value of a combat-ready GI and all that stuff. But the capitalists want no part of that.
