What the fuck do you idiots know about it? You like to post articles by News Corp rags that say things like Bush tried to remove the moratorium on offshore drilling, but do they mention that his dad was the one who started the moratorium in the first place?

Bush and anyone in the oil business knows where the offshore oil is located. Even during the moratorium on offshore drilling, exceptions were made every five year leasing period for exploration and all areas were explored. The moratorium is used to control production and presently all our rigs are working in the western and central Gulf Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) zones, where the infrastructure exists. There is oil in the eastern Gulf zone and very little oil in the Straits of Florida zone and the Atlantic zones. The west coast has enough zones in operation and their oil can't be brought to the east coast market.

Two main east coast non-Middle East foreign oil sources are Nigeria and Venezuela, so Brazilian oil would be welcome. Brazil has a major find that you will not find in the U.S. OCS and they signed with Transocean (stock symbol: RIG) long ago to develop this resource.

What you call Obama giving $2 billion, is in reality an approval for the U.S. Export-Import Bank to issue a "preliminary commitment" for a loan that may be direct or a loan guarantee. This is standard operating procedure to set up an account to import oil in the future and requires approval. So Obama is giving approval and not money, fool!

You can't run cars on Republican pipe dreams of oil that doesn't exist. You idiots believe the oceans are full of oil off the coasts, because you are played by special interests trying to get the government to give them something. Get this through your thick skulls!
