These people have the same problems with the "healthcare bill" that I do. It does nothing to lower costs, for one. Second, you can't re-engineer this much of our nation's economy without years of research, study, experiements, and knowledge. This is being shoved down the throats of the American people, and that's not American. It's happening too fast, and people are rightfully nervous about that. Also, Obama has done a terrible job of articulating what he wants, and Nancy Pelosi spends far too much time looking for a "demon" in all this. The American people don't need or want 1/6 of our economy turned upside down because of anger, which is exactly what Pelosi is projecting. Most Americans aren't so stupid that they don't want careful, well planned out, non-emotional decisions made, especially with something this important and this costly.

Exactly. Where is the tort reform to remove frivolous lawsuits against Doctors and hospitals? Oh, that's right, the REAL plan is to make everyone go on to the government plan and then there is no suing the government--even if there is a legit reason!

they, the "Progressives", have been trying to do this for decades. The research, studies, experiments have just been done in other "failed" countries and with that classroom knowledge the "progressives" have discovered that the only reason those systems failed was because these Progressives were not in charge. Under the Progressive's--Marxism, socialism will not fail....(yeah, right).

But we elected Obama and now they know that we are too stupid... at least that is their premise.

The reason it has not been done before is for the very reasons you site. The government is not willing to put in the effort, research, focus groups and town halls to actually do this the right way.

The reason it has not been done before is for the very reasons you site. The government is not willing to put in the effort, research, focus groups and town halls to actually do this the right way.

The reason is that health care is NOT a crisis in the first place. Does it need fixing? Yes, but not to the extent being proposed. Instead, they are doing the old marketing technique of selling the idea of the product to the people first and then worry about producing the product. Notice how not a single person KNOWS the details of the ObamaCare bills?
