I was hoping to get some of them to realize how far they have allowed themselves to deviate from the individual thought process. That being said I don’t have a problem with his supporters who are at least willing to challenge his actions or motives on different issues. I mean no two people will ever agree on everything.
plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose
Pathetic.
He had to wait for France, Germany, Canada, even Ban ( from the UN) before he could bring himself to utter any condemnation of the mullahs.
But, he still has the invites out to Iranian diplomats for the 4th of July parties.
So he's still hedging his bets.
Panem et Circenses
Obama doesn't support the protests. He wants the status quo maintained, for personal, political reasons. He wants Ahmadinejad to triumph. He needs him, to pursue his own strategies, both foreign and domestic. By kissing up to Ahmadinejad, Obama infuriates and scares his enemies, both foreign and domestic, and placates his supporters, both foreign and domestic. He can use him to draw attention, to deflect attention, to strike back at his opponents, to renew support from his backers, to stir the pot, calm the pot, etc., etc. Ahmadinejad is Obama's straw-man-of-political-convenience and favorite button to push, when the time is right.
DOWN WITH OBAMA
Appeasement?
Iran has no ambitions to fight or conquer other people? What are you talking about?
The Iranians have no ambitions to expel people or put them in camps or steal their land?
The Iranians want to reorganize their OWN government, develop nuclear power for desalination and electricity and sell more gas and oil to Asia via Gwadar.
Its an INTERNAL matter.
Are you simple-minded?

First of all the POTUS spoke out BEFORE the VIOLENCE even broke out
Breitbart.tv Obama ‘Appalled’: Fox News Reporter Asks President ‘What Took You So Long?’
he has not changed his stance at all
ITS JUST the REPIG HYPOCRITES screaming louder than ever and letting everybody know just how stupid and hypocritical they are
Also, the idea that Obama making a harsh statement would have an uplifting affect on the Iranian protesters is shockingly arrogant.
Get over yourselves.
How is this supposed to work?
Protestor: Today I take to the streets for my vote!
I am willing to die for this cause. Justice must be served!
Obama: The Iranian leaders are super bad.
Ive got your back with words but not action!
Protestor: Oh, man, I was only kind of into this stuff, but now Im really, really into it!
I will now overthrow my government because some dude living in another country said he likes me.
That pretty much seems to be what people like McCain and Graham actually think is going to happen.
One atta boy from the president and the game is changed.
America likes you!
Now you can have an awesome revolution!
Its so moronic I can barely wrap my head around it.
In reality, the statement McCain and company want would do serious harm to those Iranians taking on their government.
Once they are labeled as associated with the United States, they will be murdered.
As of now, the security forces are actually showing restraint.
But Republicans seem to think having a segment of the Iranian population aligned with The Great Satan is wise.
Amazing.
And Im giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Im believing them to be sincere.
If they are not and this is just another political game and they are criticizing Obama because they want to take the opposing view due to party politics then they are more disgusting than I could ever imagine because lives are on the line.
That is inexcusable.
The sad thing is the protesters arent even asking for western type democracy.
Most Iranians want a religious government of some sort.
What they are in the streets fighting for is the small bit of self rule they were allowed.
As one man in the street said, Theyve taken away the sham of electing someone.
Republicans, and many other Americans, are putting their own spin on it
At best, they want to believe a democracy will emerge from this mess, but thats not part of the equation yet.
This is just a small step in that direction and its going very well.
(At worst, do they even care about democracy? It's not like Republican's were actually that keen on counting votes or even allowing all eligible Americans to cast them in recent elections.)
The Iranian government will never be the same.
Ever.
For us, thats a pretty good deal.
So, lets stay out of this one.
We have two reasons for doing so.
First, our involvement would backfire on those people we want to succeed.
Second, we owe them.
We own the Iranian people for every horrible thing we have done.
We owe them for subjecting them to 26 years of a brutal dictator followed by 30 years of an oppressive religious government.
We did that and its time to take the moral high ground.
If we dont .... you can pretty much guarantee the opposite of what we want
will occur.

US public school edication must be in worse shape than ever.. How are these people such stupendous DUMMIES?
