Yup, I've seen some excellent issues raised. Some federal programs that should be cut, but what about restoring our rights? What about the constitution, and what about strictly punishing abuses of power? IMHO if we do not send new folks to represent our ass kickin' frame of mind, we are leaving the door open for more of the same. RESPONSIBILITY, ACCOUNTABILITY, POWER TO THE PEOPLE... yada yada... you're starting to get the idea.

Suggestions for candidates? Presidential, Congressional or Gubernatorial... Who would best represent this new party?

They would also push for all campaign donations have to be very closely regulated and all candidates are given the exact same amount of money by a central committee that is staffed with all the parties watching over it. No more privately funded campaigns and TV ads, you have to dfund it and have it approved by only your alloted amount from this central fund. There is nothing in our constitutaion that give people the right to go crazy with campaign funding which means we need VERY strict standards for this. This issue should be at the top of the list for our new party.

1 Lawmakers shall receive the median income for the district they represent. You cannot know what the people need if you do not live like the people.

2 Personal residences around the capital are banned, all lawmakers shall reside in the official lawmaker dorm.

3 Lawmakers will be in attendance at all sessions, and participate in all votes unless they are dead, in the hospital or a similar reason.

4 Lawmakers will be restricted to a 3 term limit

We also need to reform the Income tax system, preferably having a flat tax without any exemption, refunds or deductions. Everyone pays the same percentage period.
Let the voters have more say in what bills do or don't get passed.
Secure the borders. (use the money from the pork-barrel project to accomplish this)
Leave the UN, they sre worthless anyway and the money spent there could also help things here.
You can approve gay marriages but don't force churchs to perform the ceremonies.
oh and one last thing
LEAVE MY FUKING GUNS ALONE

I also think abolishing the federal guide lines for education. This is something that should be decided at the state and local level. For the naysayers or educators on this forum, colleges and Univeristies should be able to test applicants to see if the student has the foundation to enter their institution.

Abolish the IRS and their court system. JPut in place either a flat tax or the Fair Tax were everyone pays the same rate and helps support the goverment.

Also I wojuld like to see goverment be accessible to the avery Joe.

"Okham suggested that we would want smaller goverment and to put more controls in the local goverments where it would be more effective."

>>>Probably could accomplish a lot of the same thing by putting real power back into the hands of the Congress and turning the president into a non-policy making true EXECUTIVE. We also have to work on the over-representation of the small population states in the Senate. Wyoming has as much representation in the Senate as California or Texas or New York. That ain't right.

George, I think the issue of representation is correct, but when or how is this decided?
