Wasn’t this supposed the era of post-racialism? Robert Reich apparently didn’t get that message. In his appearance before Congress on structuring the stimulus plan on January 7th, Reich suggested that the package discriminate against white male workers:

Nice spin on what he actually said. Reich was probably thinking about all the contractors who raced to the Gulf Coast from all over the country to grab construction contracts out from under the existing construction contractors (those that still had businesses standing anyway), many of which were owned by blacks.

As of Dec there were more women working than the year before, less unemployed. The people loosing their jobs are the men, the white men. It is very kind of the Democrats to want to NOT hire the people who have lost their jobs.
