As it is already been posted, Americans are pretty self centered and I think we need the international views on here to keep us straight. Although saying that, I don't have much patience with people that just want to slam this country. We have enough Americans on here that want to that in the face of the war on terror.

Why is he/she a prick?

Why are we made up of every country in the world?

Why are we REALLY America?

Just a simple obvious organic & living thought.
I know you get tired of me saying this, but all these questions are answered in the Bible. Of course the answers are not quite a confusing as your questions, but they are there.

Rob, I don't think Americans are actually any more self-centered than people from most other countries. The strongest is always looked at as the self consumed bully, even when attempting to respond in a non-aggressive manner. Just look at the global response we received when sanctions were put on Saddam. Even though each sanction was voted on by all the members of the UN Security Counsel the sanctions were dubbed "the U.S. sanctions", even by our own press. The U.S. is also accused of many things that we are simply NOT guilty of, such as imperialism and global colonization. It just makes it easier to claim victim status if we are continually blamed for the suffering of other people and made out to be big bad bullies. But look around the world and notice what people everyone seems to come to when they need help.

How many people ever come on these forums and thank the U.S. for the billions of dollars in aid that we put out there? When was the last time American Christians were looked upon as "good" even though American Christians donate more to feeding people the world over and providing other necessities to nations in need than churches in several other countries combined. Do we do all this because we are self-centered? I don't think so.

Kix, yes I am aware of what the churches contribute to other countries. I remember as a child a project in VBS was to cut old bed sheets up and role them up for bandages to be sent over seas. Everytime there is a major diaster over seas Americans and the goverment contribute vast sums of money to help them. What country has ever offered to help after hurricanes or tornado's hit this country. Thanks for reminding me of this.

Well I understand that. I was not asking them for myself. The questions are rhetorical & for the purpose of doing exactly what this thread has done....So maybe the questions were not so confusing?

My perspective is always just my perspective; your perspective is always just your perspective.. it is forever "us" vs. "them." Even if there are people who believe it IS all just "us," there are other people who do not, thus creating "us" vs. "them."

IMO Asking questions requires effort and thought. Although it SEEMS easier to shoot off at the mouth, or verbally jump on someone, most of the time these are defense mechanisms and require MUCH more effort/energy and thought. Being thoughtful about what someone has said and returning their comments with kindness is actually EASIER. Unless they're pointing a gun at you...

That subject is a barrel full of monkeys right there.

Yes finally I'm answering. I was coming from the perspective of living systems. Life viewed from a larger perspective that tries to find balance, an equilibrium of the individual parts or species systems. So the idea is to ask the question from the point of view of simplicity & harmony. Or simple organic flowing thoughts. Cuz' well that's where my head was at at the time.

Yes I like this answer. The word "organic" was used meaning "pure".
