What branch of the service did Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt serve in? What combat duty did either of these see?

What combat duty did Lyndon B. Johnson see? Remember he was responsible for increasing the number of troops in Vietnam from around 15,000 to well over 550,000

Actually Clinton was going to support the idea, but he was afraid that if Chelsy was drafted they would put a saddle on her.

Karen makes some good points, the fact that this nation is fighting the War on Terror, yet several 100,000 service members and their families are really making the sacarifce.

The youth today are more patriotic to their fav. sports team than they are for sacarificing their time and health to go fight the war on terror.

Case in point, I commented early (in another) post how hyprocritical it was to have tax breaks during a time of War. How would Americans feel, if we all had to sacarifice to pitch in to pay for the War on Terror vs charging the war on a credit card!

American howl about the draft b/c we nolonger know about what sacarifice trully is anymore it's all about looking out for number one.

Sure we tell our service members how much we appreciate their sacarifce for our country----question is when will these appreciative Americans show their appreciation by finding ways to serve and sacarifice!!! for the War on Terror; versus just playing the cheerleading role and say "Hey--why join, sacarifice or serve when we already have enough Volunteers"?

Service members know deep down that the average Americans are too busy living their own lives rather than sacarfice or serve their country; hence this is why they fight for each other and not for the average Cheerleading I Support our Troops citizens. Service members can see thru the real truth.
