Uhm, just so we are clear, the rating of most popular governor in the United States is based on a percentage...not on the number of people who live there. So it doesn't matter how many people live there, her percentage still comes out higher than even the most populated states. So out of 100%, she has an 80% approval rating. Perhaps you need to go back and take a math class to understand how percentages work.

Because she taxed the fuck out of the oil companies which I'm sure affected us and then gave all the extra money to the state residents....dumb bastard ,if someone gave you a check for $1,200 you'd like them too...but if you're a women and get raped in Alaska be prepared to pay for your rape examination kit afterwards ( around $1,000) Palin changed it so the victims need to pay for that not the state

Isn't it a bit hypocritical for Democrats to support Obama's tax hike on the big corporations yet use the example of Palin raising taxes on the oil companies as a "bad" thing? It doesn't make sense. You are saying if Obama taxes them, it's a good thing...but if Palin taxes them, it's a bad thing.

As for the charging of the rape kits, it was the Wasilla police department that was charging for the kits and it didn't come to Palin's attention until later when it became an issue. Before Palin came to City Hall, the Wasilla Police Department paid for rape kits out of a fund for miscellaneous costs, according to the police chief. That budget line was cut by more than half during Palin's tenure, but it did not specifically mention rape exams - so Palin did not know she was cutting the budget for paying for these kits. That's when Wasilla started charging the victims for their kits.

However, did you know this is the practice in many police departments across the U.S.? Even in other cities in Alaska, not just Wasilla! North Carolina is another example of a state that has cities that charge for the kits. I'm sure there are many others.

She lid about Russia again. It was Georgia who was the aggressor and Russia said they would never withhold oil from any country as a weapon. That is signed, sealed, and delivered, so she is just trying to start trouble. The republicans benefited too much to see Russia excluded in world business. That is how we were allowed to hide illegal prisons. No one to tell! They are hoping to start another cold war to isolate Russia again, but it's not working.

I think she is a liar and have no intention to vote for her. I say both major parties are liars and Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzales are the best from the third parties to vote for. It would be great to get either major party out for one election.
