Sorry but Obama has not changed his position. He has always said that he would draw down troops within 16 months based on the logistics of the people on the ground. He has always said there would still be troops for over the horizon capabilities.
He has always said he would get the nation states in the M.E. involved as well as Europe & the U.N. All of these are apart of a future that is not black & white.

Adults understand this....

I love it when people are duped by the media & the McCain campaign to distort what Obama has always stated into something else.

See this is how you false construct reactionaries work.

If Obama said I will take troops out regardless of the conditions on the ground-he's running from the fight.
If Obama says I'm going to keep troops there based on the conditions on the ground he's lying & tricking you.

No the only ones getting tricked are the people whom choose to let others in the media interpret what Obama says for them & then post what they 'think' is going on. Based on others interpretations.

The only thing it's consistently displayed is reactionary idiots.

As Obama has repeatedly stated & I'm paraphrasing, he will get us out as intelligently as we stupidly got in.

I'm not saying you are distorting the truth, I'm saying Obama says something different depending upon the crowd he is speaking too.

I have heard Obama say things like "I will bring the troops home immediately" and I have heard him say "The troops will remain in the region to provide support in Iraq" and everything in between.

It's his right to say what he wishes but he must understand he is to be accountable for his words. Holding a second press conference to explain a previous press conference comment is nothing more than trying to have it both ways!

Obama has a quagmire. Obama said he would illegally invade Pakistan and Pakistan had nothing to do with 911.

and you bought his story crow? as the one democrat here who just might have some sence of logic, tell us exactly how he was going to reduce the troops presence? { was it going to be, we will arbitarily cut every areas numbers? we will withdraw the ones who are taking themost casualties? just in the peacefull areas? just where they dont want us? } hey, how about this for a better idea crow tied to the post. let the military handle it, and tell them " good job so far. "

Obama,

Nothings changed.

Obama,
Quote:
"And when I go to Iraq and have a chance to talk to some of the commanders on the ground, I'm sure I'll have more information and will continue to refine my policies."
Isn't that the crux of the reactionary argument that Obama''s supposedly going back on his word, PRECISELY because he's going to take into account what the military is doing?

Wow & Jebe are prime examples of my point.

You say cut & run if he is using brittle time lines & then say he's going back on his word if he respects & uses the advice of the military.

This is what irritates me, you guys are not interested in getting at truth just tossing your own distortions.

Thank you two for being example A. & example B.
