Default Information we should all have...

I'm still looking for transcripts of the Founder's letters and correspondence, but here is a list of links to early documents that every American should read at least once. This thread concerns our origins as Americans. It seeks to reveal the wisdom and and reason for the freedom and rights we have today, the role of the states and the responsibilities bestowed on every American by those who fought for those rights.

If you have any documents, links or videos that pertain to the understanding of the founding documents, please feel free to add them.

Enjoy.

The Bill of Rights

National Constitution Center: Interactive Constitution
This is one kick ass interactive version of the Constitution. Based on the annotated Constitution, it is searchable by topic, supreme court case, or keyword. Great resource tool. Ya gotta check this out.

I'm tryin' Darlin', seems like climbing Everest sometimes though. But I'm glad that there are some, like yourself, that get it.

I'm rereading the anti-federalist and federalist papers as we spea... err type.

There is so much good stuff in these documents. So much that is relevant to today. This subject should be taught in schools with no less conviction and scope than that of teaching math from kindergarten to graduation. It should not be taught as American History, but as GOVERNMENT! The founders lives, revolution and treatise are fine for history, but government is now, the making of history.

In order for the people to be self determining, they must know what tools they have to work with, and be as intimate with them as they are with their chosen trade.

Thank god people are starting to look at the intent and reasoning of the founders rather than just looking at the governing documents they wrote. This nation would be in a much better situation as a whole if more Americans understood the reasoning behind the genius of the founders. Great Thread.

Federal Reserve Act of 1913, Congress unconstitutionally transferred control of the U.S. monetary system to a consortium of twelve private banks collectively known as the Federal Reserve System or “The Fed”. This system allows The Fed to print money This means that a group of private banks are authorized to create money out of nothing, and lend it to the government with interest that has to be repaid by the American people through the income tax.
