references to killing people on this forum

This forum states the following rule;

“ This forum is intended to be a free speech area where people can say whatever they want, so there aren't many rules. But there are some:

1) You can't do anything illegal on the site. If it's illegal in the U.S., then it's going to get deleted and you could get banned depending on severity. This means doing something like posting child pornography, making a serious threat to kill someone, etc. - it does not mean talking about these things or the politics of them.”

Now of course I like many other posters have read numerous posts with references to killing Jews and others.

Here is a private message I received from One White Duck on Monday June 30;

May I suggest this forum’s operators;

1- revisit whether allowing persons to use this forum to make references to killing for any reason should continue;

2-it’s time this forum’s owners and operators sit down with a lawyer if they don’t have one and discuss the legal implications of the comments of some of your posters and how your allowing them to be posted is exposing the owners and operators of this forum to both criminal and civil liability.

As for One White Duck, if you have something to say to me, say it out in the open and stop hiding behind private messages.

My only intent is to put this out in the open for discussion. I think what has happened is inevitable. With no censorship one sociopath has pushed the envelope because as is the case with sociopaths he does not have limits and if someone doesn't set them he will keep going.

Sociopaths attract other marginally disaffected people. The United States has far too many examples of deranged and unhinged people who before committing crimes went on forums making such comments.

I would suggest the operators of this forum are now compelled to go talk to the police. Whether they do so or not is their choice but certainly by allowing such words on their forum they have become an accomplice in the event a crime does happen and they certainly can be sued civilly for acting negligently in allowing such posts to be broadcast.

Let me try simplify it for you. If I tell you to go jump off a cliff, you may very well take it as a joke. Good for you. Don't assume you are the only one who exists on this planet Chef and so if you understand the comment was sarcastic then it must be sarcastic.

Its also ironic that even in this discussion it attracted someone with the kind of disjointed response you may not take seriously but in that poster's mind has some sort of meaning.
